Anybody interested in a used Tesla beware.
Watching the weather channel yesterday the showed the hurricane aftermath and it was crazy how many Tesla's were buried up to their windshield in Sand and you know they had to be flooded.
They'll soon show up at a dealership near you.

On the bright side, if ther're not all burned up, you know the battery compartment wasnt compromised LOL

No I would bet some flood damaged Teslas end up back in Tesla hands for damage analysis and body & chassis parts undamaged by flood end up in salvage part system

After seeing the Tesla fire in a garage with a few inches of water I would think being flooded would cause the same effect.

A bit off topic, but the most recent horror story I've heard about Telsas and fire was that 5 people were in an accident and they could not open the doors. There was a fire and a person was able to break a window and drag a woman to safety but the other 4 were killed by the fire.

Lithium burns very hot, and will burn underwater. So are lithium batteries underneath a car, susceptible to road damage the best place for them? Think much must happen to make as safe as gasoline. Charging issues, Software, Mechanical damage, corrosion and limited life all plague EVs. May be a while before I really want one.

I guess no one read the owners manual as there are mechanical door openers on each door as well.

Elon is a visionary. It's why he'll lead us to efficiency with his new department. For instance, in that case you mention he very efficiently burned them all to death so they couldn't sue him.

Genius move making it so that a loss of power kills the door handles and then making the emergency override hard to find and not super accessible. Extra genius move spending money to get Trump elected and given an oversight role where he can cut regulations on his own companies so that he can burn more people to death.
