The new Christian Forum

There's a knife section at OSA.........I'm not into knives so I don't post there or even look in there. Religious threads always draw from both sides, which is fine with me, yet it seems the the non Christian or non religious don't even want see the word pop up on the screen. It's all just discussion, I don't think anyone's trying to convert anyone, that's between them and the Lord. And if someone believes that there's no God, they shouldn't have to worry about being "converted" anyway, yet so many don't even want it discussed or mentioned at all.

Well.... it's obviously because we can't handle it and we are all christians waiting to be converted.




Reality seems to be that the non-believers don't care as much as you say they do, rather more than other subjects. I think it's the fact that these discussions are in GD and are fair game for comment, just like anything else. I don't think you'll have many (if any) non-believers following y'all into a forum.

I don't think it's a matter of not wanting to be converted. Not everyone thinks of religion as something positive or good.

I can understand your view about that. I'm puzzled as to why a non Christian/non religious person would want to participate in a thread if they believe the content is not true or just myth/theory, other than to try to disprove the believers beliefs and try to convince them that what they're believing is wrong. Asking questions about those beliefs is one thing, but it shouldn't matter why someone believes what they believe, that's their personal conviction.

Great. Glad we got beyond that. I've seen many of your posts in other threads. We have several beliefs / things in common. Obviously, we are not going to agree on issues related religion but I'm guessing we have the same interests in mind regarding the 2nd Amendment and gun rights. No hard feelings on my part.

Well the majority of the posts in this thread are from those who are non-believers.........so they seem to care in this thread. I agree on the GD are fair game. My post above was towards the comment about just going to a another religious forum altogether to discuss................I don't think you'll stalk us if there is a religious forum here lol

They wouldn't care if it wasn't on a gun forum or in a Christian members forum. If a Satanist or an extremist Muslim preached on this forum would you care?

No because that's not what I believe, and there's nothing that they could say that would change that.

You obviously have a much thicker skin than I. When I hear religion...I think of brainwashed hatred. Not love, or peace, or fact based. Something completely fictitious that was originated to control the masses.
