Haha..... Strobel? Sorry my friend, my background in science is strong enough to compromise a belief in anything that man writes. FWIW, evolutionary phenomenon is fact if one is educated in sciences they find evidence on several levels, namely on several genetic levels. However, the progression of ape to man that so many creationists present is not the definition of evolution.

I'm a Geologist. I have no doubt that evolution has occurred and is continuing to occur. Creation occurred and is still occurring through evolution. In other words, creation is still occurring.

Evolution occurring is a fact, creation as described by christians is a theory..... one that isn't well backed.

Glad that is gone - the worship of evil and deceit . You got issues. Move to another state.

Me too. My issue is just that. Evil is evil...i don't think anyone can argue that the satanic statue is an altar to satan which is the supreme evil being.

What in the 10 commandments is evil? What in the 10 commandments would you not want your children to see? If your child sees “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me"; Will that maybe cause your child to take up evil? Hardly. You may not agree with the religion from which it comes, but it will NOT harm you, your child or anyone else. If you or your child sees “You shall not murder"...do you have a problem with that thought being instilled in your child or anyone else? Having the 10 commandments outside a courthouse or anywhere else for that matter is NOT the STATE demanding that you follow Christianity or worship God, or even Believe in God or Jesus. You are free to follow who you want.

"Separation of Church and State"... actually "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". James Madison championed that this clause be put into the Constitution, in order that the government would never again "force citizens to attend a state-controlled church", such as the Anglican Church in Virginia (which had forced citizens to attend its services, pay tithes and which had persecuted all other Christian churches, such as the Baptists, Methodists, Presbyterians, Mennonites, Lutherans, Quakers, etc.) had been. It does not mean we cannot have the 10 commandments posted, and it does not mean we cannot be a "Christian Based" country.

Now....with that said, I would also not go against a statue of buddhist sayings, or whatever being on the same property. As far as i know, it's not an evil "religion"or philosophy. I may not agree with it or practice it as i am a Christian... but as long as it's not evil, i would think they (buddhist, or whomever) could ask that sayings from buddha (or any other peaceful or non evil "religion") could be displayed. If a child was to read "We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves." that is not going to make that child run out and sacrifice the neighbor kid. If my child saw buddhist sayings and questioned our religion, or whatever...blah blah, i wouldn't run and file a lawsuit, I'd just talk to my child if it became an issue, and I'd be a PARENT.

So....these satanists see the ten commandments monument and then have to try to place a statue of a goat headed satan figure on the grounds. No....that's not Ok. Sorry...maybe that's intolerance and if so i won't be apologetic about it.

Yes, we have FREEDOM of religion here. Those satanists and everyone else, are free to worship whoever, without being persecuted for it. Try going to some other countries in the world and trying to practice that same freedom of religion...it would not work. But...When they try to instill evil either directly or indirectly then yes, we as humans and Americans have the right to say NO.

I'd like to see a Christian section to the forum. And i therefore can't go against having other "religions" or beliefs having their section either. I would not care to go visit those other sections...as probably it should be but that's fine...it doesn't affect what i look at on here. I have the power to only look at what i want to. Live and let live, but Heck, maybe the " others" would lurk on the Christian section and be compelled to follow. : ) As long as the mods keep " warring factions"...LOL... from invading each others turf and stirring up crap, i think it'd be fine.

And by stating that i am a Christian, i in now way am playing "holier than thou"...i'm not near perfect and i don't act as i should some times. I can be pretty awful sometimes and i don't deny it. I shoot for being better tho...but don't always succeed. : )

If someone wants a religious section, why not just go to a religious forum? Seems like it would be more appropriate.

This is true. I'm not sure how I got wrapped-up in discussions regarding abortion, heaven, God, Christians, etc. I come here to talk about guns, ammo, reloading and preservation of the 2nd Amendment.
