Not to distract the conversation too much but....
My wife and I both salt watermelon. However, she salts apples and I salt plums. We both think the other is weird for doing this.
Never salted either, but I'm down to try it. I've got one last Honeycrisp apple at home, I'll give it a shot.
I've heard cheese and apples are great together, even Kraft singles ontop of warm apple pie. I'm not opposed to trying it, just not going to go out of my way to do so.
