We have had to make the decision to put dad on hospice care. Hes in a nursing home and has had covid. We were under the impression that he wasn't that sick but apparently its hard to get accurate information from this place. They told us he has stopped eating and drinking some days ago. That would have bee information to lead with when we last got a call from them. He isn't able to get up and isn't doing anything but sleeping. They said this isnt the same James Henry who was always hanging out in the hallway in his wheelchair, drinking coffee. NO SHEET! Why didnt they tell us of his decline when it started?
Thats all, just venting.

Very sorry to hear about you Dad's health and more so about the way the Hospice didn't communicate with you. I hope you can get them to communicate better with you.

Most nursing homes, hospice care and even retirement centers are crappy in about everything they do. The people that own these places and most of them that work there don't GAF about our Mom's and Dad's.

It was the nursing home staff (nurses) that led us to believe he was better than reality, we just got hospice involved today so hopefully they are more forthcoming with information.
They said hes in a room with a window and we could come see him through it and they can roll his bed closer... Really?
Dads gonna die alone and it breaks my soul to know this.
