I see many seller here that require ID and require blah blah blah. I've even stated certain requirements in a few of my sales.
When it comes down to it, i personally avoid those FTF sales that require a copy of my info. I have no problem signing a bill of sale as long as the seller lets me see his info and also writes the SAME DL or CCW info on a bill of sale. But, i am NOT giving a copy of that info up.
FFL is OK
After all, what if it turns out the gun is entered NCIC as stolen? Now you can add suspect info when you fill out the police report. For all you bill of sale mandators, it works both ways so make a copy for the other guy with your info as well.

when an ad states Bill of Sale required; I dont contact; regardless of how interested I am in the item or the price.Have had a few show up to meet with nothing stated prior about a Bill of Sale. I just laughed at them, said no thanks. Most completed what trade was taking place, a few did not.
The few that chose not to always went away very angry for some reason. Never did figure that one out. May have been me, as when they stated they wouldn’t without, I always said something to make them angry I think!
