Should be able to get an adaptor for the plug.

I’ve been watching the buck on the left for 4 years now. He got a got a funky back right leg and his rack has never changed, got just a little bigger last year.
I’m thinking he’s 51/2-6 years old, I won’t shoot him cause my wife and I like to see him back here every year. Just hope the neighbors give him a pass cause of his rack.

I think that is right. I believe the solar panel with internal batteries also charges the Lithium rechargeable batteries internal to the cam. I guess one could pull the plug leaving the camera autonomous and see if the display still records 100% charge, but I have not done that.
The book says you have to run rechargeables when running the solar panel which makes sense.

Yes it does. I bought a solar panel without the internal batteries that is a different brand that I thought I could adapt to the tactacam. Ordered one of those 25 piece adapter kits from Amazon thinking one would surely fit, and none did.
Then I stumbled upon the exact adapter. I've posted it on this forum in the last couple of months, possibly in this thread. I searched Amazon tonight and can't find it.
Nothing in the feeder, but the deer are hanging around it. Some dink bucks is all.
