Back when my kids were still kids we always tried to take a summer vacation and make sure they knew what was outside our home town. Common things we did on a lot of them were amusement parks, caves, and riding old steam powered locomotives.

No, 4014 could not have made that trip as it was still in Los Angeles on static display in a county park. It was taken to the UP steam shop in Cheyenne WY around 2014 for a full rebuild & return to service. The UP steam locomotive doing tours before that was 844.
