AK's were too high, as were most of the AR's. The bottom level was craptastic. I came away with some low-ticket items ($100 or less), but really wanted to spend some cash on a gun(s). There was only one that really caught my eye that was on my want list (SA Loaded), but once the tax is added is was no longer a decent deal. My dad is kind of a 3rd Reich expert, and he wasn't impressed with what was on display. Lots of gold and silver to be had, but very few deals worth investigating. Ammo was way overpriced (not a surprise, but bears repeating). I think the dealers are still stuck in last year's market on all their gear - I guess when they leave with 99% of what they came with, perhaps they'll wake up? Probably not. Picked up some very nice HK AR mags, Fenix flashlights, ZT knife, Tannerite (woot), Texas Best jerky (the best, IMO), and some odds/ends for me and my boys. Marshmellow guns FTW! Good deals were to be had by private sellers (I sold several of mine), but only a few good deals on the tables. Will I go back next year? Hard to say, but leaning towards "no".

Um, where was Major? His display is usually worth the price of admission.

There were NO pistol sights?!?!?!?! Seriously?!? I found one booth, but all he had was Glock sights...

I traded my G19 for a M&P 9 (FS) for the Wife and also sold my G17 and picked up a M&P 9 (FS) for myself...

Got mine from Medlocks who had the best prices other than OPS (Buddy walked out the door from OPS with a M&P 9C for like $475 I think)

The Medlock crew will definately see business from me again if I have the chance simple because they were the only ones there whom didn't give me the run around or stretch out any BS dealings... They were up front, honest, and even suggested going about selling my G17 to get more money for it... You can't beat that...

Oh & I picked up 350 rnds of Brown Bear for $62... Better than I've found online simply due to not paying shipping...

I also got to meet Mark of Mark's Firearms and chat a bit with him... Great guy!!!

The Wife and I shared a Frito Chili Pie that was the bomb!!! ;) Then I got raped by a $3.50 20oz water :cry3:

Thanks to all who came to our table. We were making deals on Benchmade all day. For those who will be there on Sunday, stop by 6C and say hello.

It was not the greatest show this time. When I saw a box of Blazer 9mm ammo for 30.00 I thought I might have wasted 10.00 to get it. I did get some carry leather though. Other than that I thought the prices were sky high on most things.

That had to be the same place that was selling some form of M855 as armor piercing ammo. It was only $1 per round.

Was it the same green tipped Lake City "steel core" ammo that sportsworld was selling bulk a few months back? If so LMFAO...

+1 for Medlocks and Cold Hand Arms.

I also had to love the sales pitch I got from the Tactical Girls: "****s and guns! What more do you need"... I think I blushed...

Best part of my day at the show was when my daughter texted me to let me know that your optic came in the mail. At least I had one gun-related story to tell.

I picked up my Busse Skeleton Warden and an ITP flashlight - that was it for me (GSARG, where did you get your Fenix?).

I'm not going to lie, I stared at that Swamp Rat Hollow-Grind and the Scrap Yard Dog for a long time - they were both good deals and if I make my way up there tomorrow, I'll definitely get them both, but I resisted the urge today.

I'll say it again, if Busse Combat wouldn't have been there, I would not have gone to that show (and would have felt better about myself).

+1 on the Major's booth - no sign of him at the show. That sucked.

There were two booths selling Fenix lights; one to the left of the front door as you walk in (I bought mine from them - got two PD30's for $120 out the door, including free batteries), and one about 1/2 to 3/4 of the way to the lower level, towards the rear of the rows. You can't miss this one - they had 6 or so Fenix lights on strobe; it was annoying as he'll trying to talk to those guys. LOL
