Get off my lawn.
My feelings are pretty much the same as what many of you have already voiced. I was looking forward to the show and it was a disappointment. I saw tons of older weaponry and a lot of AR accessories down every other aisle.

The only positive point of the show was that I finally got to see/handle the scope I'm wanting to mount on my rifle - a Nightforce NXS 5.5-22x50. It was a thing of beauty and now I'm certain that it's the one I want.

I could have told you it was the one you wanted before you even wanted it. I love my NF. It is my favorite toy.

What happened to the guys who have always been on the north ramp, they weren't there this year (no tables at either ramp)? Last year they had some of the best prices on handguns. They were local but I can't think of the name.

Whats the story with OPS (Eric's new shop) being called 2 A? Anyone know what that means?

XDm's were all over the place from $700 to $569 (I just sold mine so I used it as a marker). I did see one LCP for $289 the rest were $300-$330 (selling one of those too)

Oh and those big gun girls or whatever they are called (girls with big guns :D) One of them had whiteout on her teeth which deserved a triple take :ooh2:

Im pretty sure that TK SUPPLY has been on the north ramp for the last several years.

It wasn't that bad, dealers were over priced but all the individuals I talked to would make a deal and I made several.

Even the dealers I talked to knew that it was just their asking price. Treat it like buying a car, make an offer!!!!

Yep - That's where TK usually sits. There was quite a few spots worth of empty space where vendors typically sit - There was more space between the aisles (don't get me wrong, I appreciate the space since folks have started buzzing though that place in motorized carts with little regard for anyone else there, but it was noticeable in that it was definitely a smaller show than usual).

Lots of people who were there to talk instead of walk/look at guns - people continuously stopped in the middle of crowded aisles and just acted like no one should even want to get past. Lots of rude people, but that's nothing new for a gun-show - still, it just added to everything else when it happened on every aisle.

There was a lull in the crowd at around noon 1PM - I've never seen a slow-down on a Sat in the crowd at a Wannamacher show, that's seriously saying something.

I walked it for five hrs, trying sell my RRA CAR UTE2 LAR-15 for $800.00, NO takers. The cheapest AR's I saw where some no-sight railed Bushmasters for $699.00. Others went from $1200-$2300.00. Frigging sky high prices. Think I remember a Piston Ruger 556 for $1200-1300. Seemed like maybe 300D cheaper than I've seen around town here. Closest thing to a deal I saw was a couple of tables selling Glock pistols for $495.00. The Tactical Girls where there and that was a pleasant sight.

First Wannamacher show that I've come home from empty handed in a loooong time. Even during the height of the scare, I could find people wanting to peddle some old classics in order to fund a new black rifle allowing me to pick up unusual and interesting things. It was a disappointing show in terms of selection, and the dealer's prices on used stuff is outta sight. The few I tried to deal with wouldn't budge enough to make it worth it. Not even for instant gratification.

So, my experience was essentially really poor selection and really high prices.

By the way, does anyone have any experience with M&A for AR uppers? I'm kind of looking for a 6.5 Grendel or 6.8 SPC upper, and that vendor had several in the latter caliber at their booth. About $550 for a flat top to $700 for a quad-rail flat top, IIRC. Were there any other vendors with uppers in those calibers?
