There was never any doubt she would sign it. This piece of **** legislation put whoever voted/signed for it in the spotlight.

We need a law that says someone can't come across the median into on coming traffic...that never happens anymore because of fear of fines right?...What about thinking while driving?. Of course this is from a state that gives life in prison for 3 strikes non-violent crime in OK too:

How about we increase the punishment for hurting someone if texting while driving, and then highly discourage doing it in ad campaigns like we already do? And for other things like smoking and bullying? WOuld that not be a happier medium between draconian-ism and anarchy?
Better yet, how about we make texting while driving a felony? Then it would really have some teeth as a deterrent.
Because all we need is to further bump our incarceration rate. I mean, the private prisons are already threatening to sue the government if they can't sustain full populations of inmates. God forbid we have to shut a few down.....hell, let's build some more(government job creation at its finest).
