I didn't not read every post.

Cheap is pretty relative term where reloading equipment is concerned. I would buy a single stage to start out. There is a single stage that will last the rest of your life. It is a RCBS Rockchucker. Even with a progressive or a turret I think you would still find a reason to use this thing on occasion. The kit is pretty cheap and I don't think you will ever get rid of anything in it. It is a good way to get going.

If you don't go to a progressive initially, you can get the simplicity of a single stage and a nearly significant fraction of the speed of a progressive with a turret press. I have a couple of Lymnan T-Mags, but agree with whoever recommended Redding if you can afford it, if for no other reason that the Redding Turret has seven stations. This will enable the permanent installation of enough dies to do probably three calibers with one turret.

Here is the Midway deal--$282.99 for the press, and $68.00 for turrets, which are currently a backorder item: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/588482/redding-t-7-turret-press

Despite the negative comments about Lee products, I do just fine with their dies. Their approach to final crimps, both with rifle and pistol ammo, is in my opinion superior to all others.

Best advice you have had is to study, attend at least one class, and find someone you can learn from individually if possible.
