Old Phart & HMFIC Babysitting INC. Sounds like a business partnership. Will yall sell franchises? Lmao.

Lurkers Babysitting Service has a nice ring to it. Lol.
Nice. I think most kids these days could stand to spend some time with an outfit called Old Phart and HMFIC Babysitting, especially the ones without Fathers in the picture. That title kind of makes me think of the Secondhand Lions movie.

Any parent calling Lukers Babysitting Service should probably be investigated by DHS though.

Great movie. I aspire to be that cool when I'm older...

I'm Hub McCann. I've fought in two World Wars and countless smaller ones on three continents. I led thousands of men into battle with everything from horses and swords to artillery and TANKS! I've seen the headwaters of the Nile, and tribes of natives no white man had ever seen before. I've won and lost a dozen fortunes, KILLED MANY MEN! And loved only one woman, with a passion a FLEA like you could never begin to understand. That's who I am. NOW, GO HOME, BOY!

Thanks all for the info.

We usually have grandparents 100% for backup, however we are trying to give them a break and this allows us another option. The person is previously screened with known references. and my backup plan was a great co worker and then there was always AdvantageR1.........

Dang!

I thought I had found a way to keep from having to sell off anymore of my guns to pay the bills.

That's OK, your kids are probably better off with the Grandparents. I imagine they would spoil them more than HMFIC and I would.

There can be great child care providers had for much cheaper than $20 a hour. We have a nanny that comes to our home at 8am, takes my 6 year old to school at 855, picks her up at 330, and watches my 2 year old son throughout the day until we get home at around 545 or 600. She also cleans our house, does our laundry and has dinner ready for us when we get home every wednesday and thursday (the days we don't have other activities after work). We pay her $300 a week. She's the second one we've had and we found them both when they replied to our ad on craigslist. Both of them were wives of airforce men at tinker afb. Both submitted to background and driving record checks and both have been amazing with our children.

Maybe my math is wrong, but 8:00-6:00 is a 10 hour day, 5 days a week, for a total of at least 50 hours.

Pay is $300, divided by 50 hours comes to $6 an hour.

That's not even minimum wage.

Or is that $300 just for Wednesday and Thursday?

So she is a full time nanny, house maid, buses your kid, and cooks for you too. Sounds like slave wages for that labor. If Old Phart and I are correct about your setup, I hope you are proud of yourself.

My wife and I do this, as in primarily grandparents but looking for a sitter. My niece, who granted is not in college but rather high school (15), watches our two kids every so often. She requested 5 bucks an hour... we through 30 or 40 bucks at her when we go out for an evening, so more like 10 per hour. I'd feel bad only paying her $5 watching 2 kids (1 in diapers).

I think the $15 range is very fair.
