This $10 knife went head-to-head with Benchmade's $180 knife, Benchmade's broke. This one did not. They did not just cut paper they cut wood, they split wood with a mallet and at the end of the test Benchmade broke, this $10 knife did bend, but it did not break. I have countless higher end knives and I have lower end knives. I buy whatever strikes my fancy at the time, but the bottom line is this, Walmart special kicked Benchmade's ass

I've had pretty much the finest knives by anybody, spiffiest production, ABS Master forged, exotic latest steels, every "name" tactical, and found most of them fragile compared to lower end mundane carbon and stainless at lower hardnesses....yes, you will touch them up (easily) more often, but you won't lose part of the edge, the tip, or have it break as you will with "better" steels. I can well believe the lower end Chinese stainless held up when the harder S30V failed when truly stressed...and I might just need stress a knife, a lot of folk carry for emergency use if required.

Same thing everyday, this Moore Maker in a 45° belt sheath.View attachment 527866View attachment 527867

I wish I could be consistent like that. Just carry one knife, one gun, one flashlight, one watch, etc.

My father wore the same Seiko watch since 1960 something. Carried the same pocket knife, a USA made Old Timer Stockman, everyday. And carried the same old leather tri-fold wallet until it literally fell apart before he bought a new one.

I can't do that. I like a little variety in my EDC. Some days I carry a leather Hitch and Timber wallet, some days a Zero Feud pouch. I have several flashlights to choose from and I carry a different GondekEDC hank about every week.

My only true constant companion is probably my Victorinox Cadet.

Kudos to you sir! :clap3:

DAYyum, a good old knife....closest I have to that is my Puma Game Warden carried from 1973-1993 to point wooden scale corners rounded off and lock pivot pin proud in wood, it retired but still here...I jumped on lighter one-hand knives with both feet and never looked back.

My wallet is at least 20yrs old, does that count?

So is your underwear. Well that's what Evan said anyway.
