FWIW, I have a $300 (actually, closer to $400 after I put the Flytanium CF scales on it) folder that I use frequently. With its S90V blade, it’s my go-to for breaking down cardboard boxes.
Cardboard?! You can tell by aptly named mouthpiece reaction to this that you should be trimming bricks.
Anyone can handle this except mouthpiece.

It's a Western made after Coleman bought them in 1984, and shortly before the bankruptcy and sell off of assets to Camillus in 1992. The Platts family worked every department at Cattaraugus, along with a girl named Debbie Case who lived with her father, W.R, and brother Russ. Harvey Nixon (H.N.) Platts married Debbie and they had two boys, they started own company selling knives under both Platts and Case names, founded WR Case and Sons, H.N. and Russ traveling out west to sell knives, the elder Platts needing dry air for bad lungs from a lifetime of grinding knives, and Western knives was established.
