Expensive is relative. In my early 20’s, I bought a Benelli M1 Super 90, and at the time, that was a big ticket item for me at the time. As my financial situation has gotten better, I’ve been able to accumulate quite a few high end weapons.

IWI Tavor.

Nice one. I was looking into one of those at the last Wanenmacher. Had the cash I'd saved up to pick up a Tavor or a Kriss Vector or a PS90. Unfortunately, I couldn't make myself 'pull the trigger' on the ones I saw, so I passed and that then led into my obsession with building a long range rifle.

Now that's a nice setup! I had that exact chassis planned for mine, but I ended up buying a Cadex and selling the MPA to recoup some funds.

Okay,,,
This was the first gun I bought when I got back into shooting about thirteen years ago.

S&W Model 15 Combat Masterpiece,,,
Pristine condition, in the box, with wrapping paper, and tools

I paid $500.00 for the gun "out the door".

That might not seem like a lot but it was to me,,,
I had been a poor but honest college boy for the last seven years,,,
Spending "half a grand" on anything other than school/books/tuition made my spine tingle.

So far the most I've spent on a single gun was,,,
$750.00 for an excellent 6" Colt Trooper Mk-III in .22 LR.

I'm retiring at the end of this year,,,
I've been "window shopping" for a retirement rifle,,,
It will probably be the last big ticket firearm I will ever purchase.

What I'm looking for is an exotic .22LR single-shot rifle of some ilk,,,
I promised myself I won't "cheap-out" on this big purchase,,,
But some of the rifles I'm looking at run around $1,600.

To tell the truth though,,,
I'm not sure I can make myself spend that much.

But this Winchester 1885 Low Wall is singing a siren song to me.
