Flying tank anyone?

If I truly had to choose I would choose the one that isn't soley dependent on computers. Can cause total devistation no matter how well equiped. Easily adaptable to any fighting environment.

Dang, you guys took all the good ones. +1 to all of the above.

However, one of my up-and-coming faves that hasn't been mentioned:

The F-35 JFS, all three variants.

Wow, next time entitle the thread, "Other than an A10, what is your favorite?"

Gotta love the Warthog, and none of the drivers I have met where upset about being able to be outrun by almost anything.

Other than that my favorites are hard to nail down, the WW2 birds are all phenomenal, but I have always liked this one a lot.

I have always held a fascination for the Spade

I could list tons more, but the piece of military hardware that has endeared itself to me the most is
ai264.photobucket.com_albums_ii182_bt223_IM000286.jpg

And that one is mine!

Now, the 1 piece of military hardware that I get all sentimental about, misty eyed, and just have to "touch" so it can "speak to me" is the B17.
So many men rode those birds into the mouths of hell, and so many never came home. If you ever meat a man who flew, or was a crewman on daylight bomber missions in WW2, shake his hand, he's better than you.

Great choice! My grandfather flew one for four years over Europe. He said nothing could beat it in a dive; in fact, a full powered dive in the jug
was strictly forbidden due to strange phenomenon with the controls behavior that only later was explained by flight testing in breaking the sound barrier.
