I like the option of being able to switch from a tiny bug front pocket gun to an OWB rig for my full sized M&P40. Leave the shirt untucked, and be damned if the barrel barrel sticks out.

Do you live in town, or out? I thought if you were in the boonies, on your own property, you could carry around whatever you wanted to. Anybody know?
.

Presently no exception for carrying open for the purpose of personal protection:

My habits really won't change, other than I will carry on my person when riding now, nothing fits under tight riding jackets without riding up and eposing it, and I hate dragging my tank bag around with me everywhere.

I could see where that would apply to someone living within city limits, eg: you wouldn't be hunting with it or target shooting (recreational), but if I'm on my own property outside city limits where I can do those things, I don't see how they could say anything about it. I guess I can't see the difference in carrying a pistol on my belt in the open and carrying around a shotgun hunting for Quail.

So using that logic it is illegal for you to carry your gun to your car. It would also be illegal for all the gun store/range employees to carry openly in the store.

I am not a lawyer and dont even pretend to be one. I do have a right to carry a firearm on my own property. I can not run around pointing it at passers by, or shooting bottle in my backyard in the middle of Tulsa. I can mow my lawn with my gun in a holster.

The examples you cite are "for sporting purposes" which is exactly what I would claim if questioned when walking across a field wearing a handgun openly. Have you seen that coyote?

However, people have been arrested (and convicted) for wearing a gun openly on their own property.
You can argue that should not be so, and I agree.
That's why we need HB3354 passed.

I wear a lot of jeans and t shirts. This is my work attire and my norm. I carry IWB in the 6 o'clock position, if the bill passes I'll probably be using my OWB in the 3 o'clock position all the time with my t shirt over it. It would ease my mind when I'm on the bike too.
