Cata is fun, I would rather go to the range as well, but rarely have time. When I am done reloading and the wife puts on a chick flick it's a perfect way to relax. Wife has played it some, but she gets bored with it fast.
It's a drastic change, mostly good. They took away the portals in Dalaran and Shatarath 
They've added a "Hero Board" which will direct players to quest lines in their level range.

They did most of the patching before the release, the buginess is mostly gone.
What is this Southshore you speak of?
Isn't that the alliance place south of Tarren Mill?
Southshore is gone man. Deathwing wiped it out.
