According to the Chicago Sun Times, the mayor and her police chief told cops in a private meeting to make more arrests or they would get demoted.
So don't be running through the middle of an intersection when you're fleeing from random gunfire in the Windy City.
You might get thrown in jail on a jaywalking charge. That would count as an arrest following a terrible act of 'gun violence' right?
