They have 3 scopes out now, with one or two new ones in the pipeline. Their biggest issues to date was an all out assault on the internet with spambots, spam accounts and folks that don't speak English as a native language signing up on every forum from here to hell and posting the exact same spam. They got busted out multiple times. Reviews I have read haven't been bad overall. Most guys say turrets are good and its tracks. Glass has been mixed. lots of varying opinions on their reticles. Some reviews have clearly been over the top. So you disregard the guys that say its better than German makes or NF. There has been a decent amount of used ones already for sale. So that says something. Could just be guys with money that want to see does a $600 scope really run with their $1500 scope.

The company overall seems to be using one of the big oems in China and doing some things right. Way to early to tell if they have staying power in this competitive of a market. Regardless this is a great time to be buying scopes. The competition has forced companies to have good warranty and service along with better options and pricing a much lower entry points.
The reviews I have been reading say that the center of the reticle is very difficult to see at low power. Some say they are hoping for an illuminated version to help with the problem.

I would have liked to see an illuminated version as well. I spoke with the founder/owner about the hype that some people were putting out there. I think I missed some of it and it got deleted, but he did admit there were some dealers who were pretty excited to try to get the word out. He said he has worked to try to reign some of that in, and it seems at least on SH it has died down.

Like I said, it looks like a decent product, and I just flat out decided I wasn't going to spend $1500-2000 on a scope right now, so this is a good compromise, although I know it is a slight risk. I'm willing to give them a shot and see how they do.

<edit> And I think the ranging feature of the reticle was a useless addition, but I don't think it's going to be a major drawback for me.

Speaking from experience I know a reticle on some FFP scopes in low magnification can get lost in background clutter without illumination. I've turned on my illumination in midday sun to enhance the reticle due to background clutter/mirage. The ranging feature on the Arken looks similar to the one found on a Zero Compromise scope. If it is, it would come in handy when shooting different percent IPSC targets if you're a match shooter. If your not a match shooter it will probably just get in the way. I sometimes get aggravated with my EBR-2B "Christmas tree" reticle while hunting.

I'm sure it will serve your purposes until you feel it's a limiting factor to your shooting discipline. If you follow the threads on SnipersHide you'll see many on there change scopes as often as they change their underwear. Some, always have to have the latest and greatest and anxiously await the next Shot Show it find out what they are missing out on.
