He had no duty to retreat, just know before hand that bringing your A game to a gunfight ....Might get you hurt.

You've been misinformed. He has a history of character defects and an arrest record to back that up.

Sounds like a stand up guy. He demonstrated concern for his community and others, like so many of our best law enforcement officers. Wanting to be a cop is not character flaw.

What exactly is it he has been convicted of ? I don't feel misinformed, plenty of credible sources accurately show he was convicted of nothing. Now you can say he was arrested for murder, but of course he was wrongly arrested solely on political grounds, so arrests without convictions don't mean too much in my book. I hope he owns half the county before it is all said and done.

I think Z-man let his wannabe-ness overload his ass and shot Martin because he was humiliated. Unfortunately, Z-man is the only witness to the actual shooting. For all we know Martin was done beating on Z-man and standing over him calling Z-man a punk-ass-biatch.

If someone is bashing my head into the concrete I am gonna be under the impression that they are wanting to kill me. Now I can't say that was Martin's intention but I wouldn't doubt it. He was a thug and that is the thug mentality. And even if Martin was standing over GZ cussing at him how did GZ not know Martin wasn't going to attack again? Yes there are a lot of what if's in this case but there are also facts that back up GZ's story. Nothing shows Martin was innocent. And he wasn't. So if someone gets into a fight with you and starts bashing your head into the concrete you are just gonna let it happen and not try and defend your life with deadly force?
