Until the discussion revolves around an agreed to set of circumstances; or facts if you will, then there cannot be a reasonable debate in the merits of who was right and who was wrong.

This isn't war. Civilians aren't allowed to launch preemptive physical assaults based on some precieved threat. We are allowed under the law to be on defense but not on offense. That's clearly what happened here. Martin launched a physical assault first. Had he not done that he wouldn't be dead. Again, go back and listen to the testimony of John Good.

If Martin hadn't attacked Zimmerman I think these two would have stood toe to toe and screamed at each other until the cops got there. It's quite obvious the neighbors were calling 911 before the fatal shot was fired.

That's how it looks to me.

You can't win your argument for the same reason that the state couldn't win their case.
1. There is no evidence to back your wild speculation.
2. The evidence backs Zimmerman's version of events.
3. The state failed to establish an alternate version of events, backed by evidence, that proved criminal behavior by Zimmerman.

While watching RJ testify, I was wondering why the defense wasn't impeaching her testimony based on her perjury and inconsistencies.
In the end, when you sort the fly specks from the pepper, the state's "star witness" went a long way in backing GZ's story.

Everything bad said about TM is being taken as truth and justified by his "criminal history".
None of GZ's story is questioned yet he has his own "criminal history".

The false narrative that TM was some innocent kid who was hunted down by a racist murderer has been destroyed.
Keep beating that dead horse if you want.
The truth has come out. The crime that night was committed by TM, and he was the one using racial slurs.

Two things.

One, we do not know how the altercation started, we only have one side of that story, for all we know Georgie is lying.

Two, Martin certainly could have felt like he was at risk of being attacked by Georgie, I would have.

Say what? You don't have any evidence that Martin wasn't the aggressor. I think that a reasonable man or jury that looked at all the evidence in it's totality would conclude that Martin was in fact the aggressor. The turning point would be when he jumped on top of Zimmerman after knocking him to the ground. If he was simply defending himself he would have fled the scene and sought safety after punching Zimmerman in the face and knocking him to the ground. Jumping on top of him and continuing the assault clearly shows what Martin's state of mind was at the time. Reasonable people that are in fear of their life don't stay around to "finish the victim off".
