You needed some sway bar disconnects anyway! Gives you a lot more articulation-ability. I just took mine all together off. Gonna make a poor boy disconnect set up one of these days.

.

I have the poor boy disconnects now, after I lost a bolt somewhere. I use this:

• 2 - 2-1/2"x7/16" Clevis Pins
• 2 - Cotter Pin
• 4 - 7/16" Grade 5 or better washers

Cost all of $5 @ Lowes.

That's what I'm talking about!

When I first took off the sway bar, I went straight to the highway to try out how bad it would be. Wow. Spooky. After a while I kinda developed a quicker, gentler steering wrist.

I still need to put it back on there. CJs have a stud that is welded to the front leaf spring u- bolt plate. I have an extra sway bar with the factory links on there, so I'm gonna cut and weld and pin so I don't have to fight it off. Those new fancy Jeeps look like they have a better set up. Stupid fancy Jeeps.

Disconnected on the road is too wonky feeling for me, but offroad is the only way to go. BTW that poorboy disco was for a JK.

That's what I was thinking you had. Couldn't remember! I guess I will reluctanty trade you our littler CJ, as I'm certain you will enjoy the way it jars your teeth. No extra charge for rust and rattles.

This is my $100 soft top. Got it on Craig's List at the beginning of the year. Just had to make a few missing parts. Woo hooo!!! Let it rain! Thinking about selling my hard top... maybe. Might just keep it. It doesn't eat anything.
