Maybe it's time we need government intervention and regulation to put a stop to these absurd prices. Good grief!! Just because you built it, you paid for the parts and you own it doesn't mean you can charge whatever price you want for it. That just isn't right. We need a new federal government agency "The Department of Private Firearms Values" to set the price on what people can charge.

Really? HMMMMMM......... Sorry for wasting your time with my curiosity question. I'll try to do better in the future.

Rumor has it ... people are buying up primers already. Did any one learn anything last election cycle?

Yea... hoard and cash in. Sad.

Back on track... a franken-ar runs about $400-600 in parts right? I'd be trying to double my money too.

Depends on the parts you use. Why would everyone assume a franken rifle is built with cheap parts. I just finished my wifes franken rifle and it has $1300 in parts tied up in it, my franken rifle has $1600 tied up in it. I have the build sheets for them too since I keep a seperate PAP insurance policy on the firearms to cover their loss 100% in case something happens to them.

YMMV

Is it any different than the $800 WASR OR THE $900 Romy G that was on here just a week or 2 back?
I just traded a $1400 AR upper for a complete rifle. I didn't have $1400 into the upper as i had traded for it.
If your uneducated, a parts gun may seem like a lot of money.
If you know what the parts are worth then it doesn't seem out of line, to me.

I do understand a franken rifle built out of premium stuff will be worth more than a gun built of GI castoff stuff.

Profit is good... buyer beware. True

Again, I can see the pruices being what they are when you are buying/building TOP quality type rifles, BUT my point was about rifles made out cheaper manufacturers goods.
I did see a $950 Delton the other day. Its hard to justify that. Unless it is one by that Custom guy at the gun shows. lol
