It didn't sound like Holder was apologizing for the wrong doings. It sounded like he was apologizing to staff, players, fans, etc. for the investigation that is about to happen. It doesn't matter if they find wrongdoing or not, an investigation alone is going to be bad, and that is what he is apologizing for. There is going to be some more finger pointing and mud slinging before it is all said and done....

I have always been an underdog man myself, so I have always leaned towards OSU over OU. I don't hate OU......but sometimes I do enjoy watching them lose(or rather, watching some of the fans throw a fit after a loss).

After reading this article I don't want to ever hear of the Rhett Bomar crap from poke fans again. This is so much worse.

Really? This is nothing but fabricated slam article that has limited basis in fact. Therw are reports of the players that gave "dirt" getting paid for their interviews, and the ones that are saying stuff are guys like prentiss elliot who got kicked off the team. Yeah, no agenda there.

DeForest, now the associate head coach and special teams coordinator at West Virginia, said he never paid a player for on-field performance.

West Virginia released a statement Saturday that did not mention DeForest and said it had "launched an internal review to ensure the coach's full compliance to NCAA rules while at West Virginia," while also contacting the NCAA.

Miles has said he didn't know of any improprieties while he was the Oklahoma State coach.

"I can tell you this: We have always done things right," he said after LSU's game Saturday night in Baton Rouge, La.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out...

I get a little heated when it comes my school.
A little heated? Dude, you need to switch to decaf, and you need to stop slamming other schools--OU has jack squat to do with this. Just put on your big boy pants and let this run its course; the truth will come out in the end, and OSU will be fine.

And, as was mentioned earlier in the thread, congratulations--O State has made it to the world of big-time college football.

OSU did pretty well in the 80's(to those saying they have only just now become a "big time college football team"), but they also got hit with a scandal(for which OU was also involved) back then that really hurt the organization for over a decade. It is sad that now they are finally making a comeback, allegations are starting again.

Fwiw I believe it's an anti osu anti lsu reporter with an axe to grind against les miles. What better way to discredit a winning coach than to go dig up "dirt" on his associates at a former job. We'll just have to wait and see what the investigation turns up. However I won't trust any "reporter" and I use that term very loosely who gets paid by the hacks at CNN.
