We are about to have a Texting while driving law

yes...which is why if you ban guns, only criminals will have them...if you ban texting, only the people who were going to lose control and kill you anyway regardless if it is the law or not will do so...I see PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY as a factor. You want to use the power of the state to "keep you safe" against your fellow Americans when the same government that you expect to do that has the border is wide open and they are letting illegals go free for crime (which probably included texting while driving)...it is a joke to make more laws that only regulate and affect the responsible middle class citizens who are the financial blood-bank for the country; and then to let invaders go free why you lose your sovereignty. Perhpas the U.N. could suggest some traffic laws that would make you feel even safer Sooner???

Any resources used to enforce taking money from the 98% of people who text while driving and do not hurt anyone, could be better spent on arresting illegal invaders who've come as a voting army for Democrats.

And no, I don't agree that people should text and drive; but all cases where people do it are not equal and should not be lumped into one punishment.

That's a far reach again. Many people actually follow the law (believe it or not).

Again, you're confusing laws that ban owning something with laws that ban doing something. Comparing texting to gun control doesn't make sense. The law doesn't limit what kind of phone you own.

Which would save a lot of teens lives. First time a teen gets a $250 ticket for texting and driving and it takes them an entire paycheck to pay it, they will think twice every time they do it. They may still do it, but it will still cause them to think twice.

That happened to me once too. I still remember her name. That was an unintentional distraction. Texting while driving is intentional conduct.

It kept me from getting ran over by the UPS driver last thurs when they pulled out of a parking lot chatting on the phone and failed to look left. LOL
