90 F150 problems

Was going to do that anyway just to be safe. But since thatll take a bit of work might as well use the cleaner also and really get it good.

I used to use the cheap dollar store oven cleaner on my cars to break up the grease and oil before power washing. I would let the engine warm up and spray it on and let it sit a while, then wash it off. Be careful not to get it on any paint on the body.

Still have a long way to go but it's going to take scrubbing or extreme pressure that I don't want to use. So this will do for now until I scrub it with brushes and scotch Brite pads. Got rid of a lot of dirt at least. A lot of the metal is dirt etched. Only scrubbing with make it shine.

PP definately has it's place but ZEP is industrial strength. Great for cleaning oil stains off the driveway too. Like, if you own a Harley lol

Yeah, I bet it is. There isn't much oil or grease though. Almost none. It's just this dirt that holds on like nothing else. Even a stiff bristle brush wasn't taking it off. Hard to even scrape with finger nail or plastic scraper. Probably going to use some sort of bristle brush on a drill.

It's really not. It's on plastic and hoses on top of the engine. It baked in I think. there isn't evidence of oil leaks or grease. My 90 has a lot of oil leaks though. Mainly valve cover. It may be from the type of gravel they put on some roads. The dust hardens when wet. Crushed limestone maybe?
