They'll charge you $200 for a $40 capacitor. You are screwed until a supply house opens up. Locke, Palmer etc. I think Locke is open for a few hours on sunday. Pull your disconnect before removing the capacitor the counter guy will need it to know what you need unless you know what the capacitor is. Also your fuses are in the disconnect panel you have to remove the cover to get to them.

I'm pretty sure Locke is closed on Sunday but they open at 7:30AM Monday morning. I'd be there waiting on them at 7:25 if I were in your shoes. Good luck to you!

Ya better get a Cap for the blower motor too if ya want to really be prepared. Maybe a hot surface ignitor if your furnace uses one

Got those too I had to do my hot surface igniter last fall, they sit inside the furnace cabinet along with a spare furnace control board. Getting raped to the tune of $600 when it was 10 degrees did not make me happy the only parts house that carries Rheem boards in Tulsa won't sell to the public. I bought a spare for $135 after that.

Sounds like you have it covered and then some. Its sad that a couple hundred bucks and being prepared WILL pay for itself on the first service call. Its only a matter of time. I stock a couple boards but dont really worry about them because I can rewire the unit to limp until I can get the part.

Yea thats why I suggested you buy 2...that and contactor is most common in this heat.
In cold its usually blower r/s capacitor.., heat sensor. spark ignitor, elec board ...its best to have a friend/contact that can get these for ya...or keep a couple on hand.
Some of the older ones you could jump for heat , the newer ones not so much sometimes.
If ya got the cash go buy a cheap a/c at wallys, itll keep part of the house cool.
Good Luck
