Im not sure if its just me or the pictures on RIA's site but they didnt look as robust as a colt or kimbers.

And I think I like the nickel plated look, do they take any special maintenance or special care?

I just checked their site again and the standard 1911s look normal but the tactical versions look a bit thin around the slide/barrel area Im thinking it just the pics but then again I have no clue.

As most of you that know me, you know I'm a 1911 Junkie. I have been blessed to have a friend who has high end custom 1911's, and gives me great deals. So I have several customs cause of him. That being said, get a Rock Island Tactical. You won't be sorry, now IMO the factory mag is junk. I use Wilsons and have never had a problem with them. Mike at Big Boys Toys carries RI, he's off S. Council his number is 405-745-7179
