Dennis,

I received an alert Friday that Midway had the loaded Lapua 250 grainers in stock. Those have the Lapua brass. Some guys can get over 40 reloads on a single piece of Lapua brass.

At least you had a legitimate excuse that I can understand...

I had 3 LEO's show up out of ten and excuses ranged from "HELL NO" to "I've got to go to Wally World with my wife" to "ain't gonna get out in this weather"...

BUT! The three that did show up, I will say that I was more than just a little proud of them. They shot extremely well in "all" conditions - high winds, rain, snow, up close and personal and further than they will EVER have to take a shot in a real Sniper situation. They stuck it out and performed well under pressure and far less than ideal conditions...

These guys told me that they also expected their deer and coyote "stalking and shooting" abilities to greatly improve as well. And it should...

The other seven though............ Well....... They won't be back!

The last time I was talking about "dialing-in" a scope, I took Daniel to the range and got him set up to shoot a couple jugs full of water for some reactive targets...

Rifle used was a CVA Apex that I built a barrel for and chambered in 357 Maximum...

This is Daniel. He was 13 at the time he shot these "targets" and this was his FIRST time at the shooting bench...

Daniel shot these 4 jugs in 4 shot at ranges 50 yds., 100 yds., 200 yds. and 300 yds...

Daniel was able to hit all four jugs because I showed him how to "dial-in" the scope for each known distance. The same thing applies when shooting at long-range and extreme range. That way, there is no guessing at how high to put the crosshairs above the target...

The cartridge was 357 Maximum and loaded with Hornady's 140 gr. FTX bullets at a muzzle velocity of 2,717 fps...

This was not the most accurate bullet or load but, it did pretty for shooting out to a maximum distance of 300 yds...

Here are a couple more pictures of this 357 Maximum...
