Bedliner adds alot of weight to your vehicle.
If it were me, I would sand it and shoot it with red or gray primer and carry on.
How much weight? I have a bedlined truck and find it unlikely that the weight is significant at all.

I wrecked my F350 pretty bad in 2022. Gonna have to get it painted anyway, so I decided to do bedliner.
Linex in Tulsa was overpriced, and they are lax about disassembly and prep.
Went went Justin at Speedliner and couldn't be more pleased. Dude is 100% solid America first kinda guy. Did a fantastic job. Would recommend in a haertbeat.
It would actually be about 25-30% less than the weight of the cans you put in the vehicle at the store when you bought it or what was shipped to you. Weight is not an issue at all.Wouldn't the weight of the bedliner be the same as putting a couple of the gallon cans of it in the bed?
LOL, no, I actually slid down 75 northbound on the passenger side. Those cables in the center median likely saved my life - I hit them fast enough that when they caught the rear axle it jerked the truck back upright. There you go again talking about that F-350.
Wrecked it this time, eh? Wrecked the interior of it maybe.
First I've heard of that. Interesting.I’ve seen a lot of guys online use the “turbo can” of rustoleum with great success. Not a professional option by any means but I’ll never look at a “rattle can” paint job the same.
