Father-in-law had a truck that survived a Moore tornado but the paint was blasted and small dents everywhere.
It began rusting and I went to his house and got to sanding it with the kids and other relatives that wanted to join in.
2 hours later i was spraying Rust-Oleum Camo paint on it.

Did a camo paint job and all the dents seemed to disappear.

The neighbors and even the mail carrier commented on it.
What they said is what did you do with the old red Dodge truck.
I did not know you were even trying to sell it.

Small town in Missouri.
They thought he had sold the beater and got a new vehicle and had it wrapped.

HA!
220 grit hand sand to make spray can paint stick well.
If you use a DA you better go rougher.
Peeling clear coat you need to really rough that stuff off.

I like my camo cheap paint.
I have done it to 2 cars and 1 aluminum boat and it sticks well.
About 7 hours if you do it alone.
Less than $70 for supplies.

What got me looking at this was the easy prep (as compared to normal basecoat/clearcoat) and material cost. In theory, it should be quite a bit cheaper to get it done. Then I see some Youtube videos similar to this one and think hey this ain't a bad plan and beats the hell out of buying a newer truck since this one is paid off. I may end up doing all the prep work, setting up an awning for shade and spraying on my hunting land with a rented compressor!

I’ve seen a lot of guys online use the “turbo can” of rustoleum with great success. Not a professional option by any means but I’ll never look at a “rattle can” paint job the same.

I wrecked my F350 pretty bad in 2022. Gonna have to get it painted anyway, so I decided to do bedliner.

Linex in Tulsa was overpriced, and they are lax about disassembly and prep.

Went went Justin at Speedliner and couldn't be more pleased. Dude is 100% solid America first kinda guy. Did a fantastic job. Would recommend in a haertbeat.

There you go again talking about that F-350.

Wrecked it this time, eh? Wrecked the interior of it maybe. 🤣🤣🤣

Wouldn't the weight of the bedliner be the same as putting a couple of the gallon cans of it in the bed?
It would actually be about 25-30% less than the weight of the cans you put in the vehicle at the store when you bought it or what was shipped to you. Weight is not an issue at all.

LOL, no, I actually slid down 75 northbound on the passenger side. Those cables in the center median likely saved my life - I hit them fast enough that when they caught the rear axle it jerked the truck back upright.

First I've heard of that. Interesting.

OP might want to look into Plasti Dip also for a. DIY option.

The only real regret I've heard from someone that's done the rino liner is that it's a nightmare to reverse if you ever wanted to. And if you sell it you'll take a hickey on the price.

But if that's not a concern, then I say blast away.
