So if Biden ends up being the president how will that effect the price of firearms and ammunition? Do you think they will rise even more than what they are now?

If DJT does not retain his seat as POTUS, Evil won, does one honestly think that things for us will go back to what we've enjoyed the last 4 ? Already said by mr emapples, ammo may become a currency..

Personally I think there should be a minimum 100 post limit to post in the classifieds. It would weed out a number of drive by classified posters.

To the rest, it's capitalism boys. I don't like the situation but it is what it is, supply and demand. We've been through this several times before.

Hard to argue against. I'd say 100 posts minimum and 3 free sales posts per quarter then $20 per post there after.

Problem is, and it's happened before.... they'll just spam or reply with one word posts for a day and get in.

As I recall, and would once again support, back 5 or 6 years ago, it was a minimum of 35 substantial, contributing posts; not one-word replies. The only way to have trust in dealing with the classifieds, if that is important to you, is to check out the other person. Look to see how long he or she has been here, check out their post history and their feedback. There are many members here I have not met that I would have no problem dealing with, and there some I would just pass on. Use your judgement, and if it doesn't feel right, don't do it. You know who you can trust and you know when a deal doesn't seem right...usually. If I decide to sell one of my beloved Walthers here on OSA, for example, and do the other party wrong, how long would it take to ruin my sterling reputation? Not too long; not too long at all.

I only deal with established members and have only had one do me wrong...and it was my first by-mail transaction. Now, I deal confidently, whether I am buying, selling, or trading.

I sold a gun to a newbie here a few months ago, I didn’t really trust it so I requested he fill out a 4473 (he had no problems with it) he was approved and we transferred it through a pawn shop (arse covered) that guy even paid for the transfer fee. This was the only way I was going to feel comfortable selling to a new member

It all depends on supply vs demand. A item is in high demand, triple the amount of people that normally buy said item now want the same item, there is limited supply, prices are going to increase to attempt to slow down or even stop the rush on said item.

I saw it happen with lumber this year, dear god I have sold at least twice or triple the board feet in lumber this year than in the last several years. It was to the point that supply could not keep up and we were out of stock for months on some items and prices shot thru the roof. Things are settling down now and starting to get back to normal but it has taken months to get past the shut down of the country.

Heres another, recently I posted a rifle for sale. A 30-30, the rifle, scope, mounts and a case of ammo. I was asking $1000 for the package. I got a few not so cheerful messages that I was way to high and was taking advantage of the current situation.
Lets see here, I paid around $550 for the rifle IIRC, in 2018, the scope is a Leupold, also had to buy the base and rings, ammo was a case that cost me $200 shipped.

$550 rifle
$300 scope base and rings
$200 ammo, federal fusion
$950 give or take with tax. I dont think $1000 for the package was out of line, others did, so I pulled the ad, said screw it I will keep it, maybe never shoot it again, maybe I will, but if things continue as they are that price will only get higher I assure you. Cant replace it if its not available to buy again if I sell it.

Now I am not complaining just trying to be a voice of reason in this wilderness.
