I prefer shooting the Mini-14 to the AR. It's just more comfortable. Plus, most comments you see about how bad the accuracy is come from people who have never owned one and are probably not even capable of shooting better than the 2-4 MOA they cry about the mini doing. Plus number two, their parts bin ARs probably aren't capable of accuracy better than the minis they're crying about.

In other news, I have 4 factory ruger 20 rounders for sale in the classifieds. Sold my mini, have no use for them!

Although I couldn't care less about what someone else wants to own/shoot....Am I missing something?

Ruger was "designed" 10 years after AR-15 ... on 30 year-old technology.

Cost - AR15
Reliability - AR15
Accuracy - AR15
Practicality - AR15
Customization - AR15
Caliber choices - AR15

Sorry, but Ruger offers nothing, but being "special; and muh momma says that I'm special!

I have heard different.

At the end of the day, you should pick the one that you trust your life with. For me, who has owned both, it's an AR every time. For you, it may be the Mini 14. The good news is, AT LEAST FOR NOW, you can go to Walmart and pick up either one. We must fight any and all attempts to limit this right
