If I'm fawking forced to be in that s$it hole like I am right now I stay at the riviera. Cheap rooms decent casino and walking distance to the strip. Gawd I hate this place reno is so much nicer. If this wouldn't have been a free trip I wouldn't be here. Hope I don't have to come back for a long azz time.

Reno = complete sh!thole.

Btw, Vegas is cool but Tahoe is the nutz!

Never been to Vega$ either. Anyone ever stayed at the Mandalay Bay? I'd spend quite a bit of time in their aquarium when I wasn't out and about.

Mandalay Bay is nice..we've stayed there a few times.

Spring and summer..eat outside at the Border Grill and watch the bikini beach!! Do not order a beer and lime..I don't but wife does.
Their version of Modelo or Tecate and lime..grind the lime up..put the pulp on the rim of the glass and pour in beer..even when you ask again..they don't understand.

Aureole..is okay. The best thing is watching the wine angels go up and down the tower of wine to get your order.

Stripsteak is good.

Red Square..go there..take a picture of yourself at the feet of the headless Lenin statue. Then go inside and drink, drink, drink, some vodka!!

The shark aquarium. ...take the tour but buy the "behind the scenes tour..if they still offer it" to see the setup, food, and what it takes to run it.

I wish Bellagio would offer a tour of the pumps and controls on their fountains at Lake Belaggio. Saw a quick version on tv..but would love a tour.

One of these days i'll go. Never been to nevada period.

Man, Vegas is one of the most affordable out-of-state vacations I've ever taken. It's why we go at least once per year.

It's been since November 2011 since I've been, but we spent 6 days out there and flight and hotel cost us like $318 per person total. We stayed 2 or 3 nights at Golden Nugget (3 of us in 1 room) which was like $99 for the most expensive night, but I think we paid like $69 the other two nights. We then moved to the strip and stayed at the Exclalibur which was as affordable, if not less, than the Golden Nugget. Southwest had offered an awesome deal, like $69 1-way. At any time, you can get online and do their "Wanna Get Away" option for cheap azz tickets.

Seriously, if you're even remotely interested in Vegas, make it a priority to go. Never do it alone, though, or even with just 1 other person. When it comes to Vegas, the more friends, the better.

If you book through the hotels directly, you're only required to pay a deposit (first night's stay) and the remainder at check in, which gives you more time to save up while securing your spot.

This made me laugh for some reason.

Ha, yeah. I get depressed when I think about it, as I've been at least once a year since I went the first time several years back. With my wife getting pregnant in 2012 and it turning out to be twins born this summer, we've been a little too busy for Vegas. However, July 2014 we'll be back!

I'm right there with ya on this. Unfortunately it's been several years since I made it back to Lost Wages.
