It was Knotty Pine. Since they had a fire (again), there's no clear winner. Albert G's is good, as is the original Billy Sims (in The Farm). Dickey's isn't bad either, for a chain place. Also I heard the guy Sperry is good but never made it out there for dinner. And finally, I have heard My Place is the bar by which others are judged. I need to make it out there.

There is a trailer deep north Tulsa (Sperry?) get on Peoria and keep going. Its in a Daylight Donut parking lot. Heard about it from a friend. Best BBQ I have ever had. Apparently he has won a whole bunch of competitions. Great stuff

Bulbboy, you are in Sperry at that point, assuming it's the Daylight at 91st-ish Street N (at the curve) and not the Daylight at 66th Street North. For those wondering, you are deep enough you are in the sticks in Sperry, not the ghetto near McClain High and/or Turley :)

That place also sells Prime Rib from time to time.

just goes to show ya ... consistency is hard to come by, anyone can have a bad day with bad attitude. than factor in everyone has slightly different idea of what great BBQ is.

from your list, my opinion from eating Ribs there + a few extra

1. Cotton Eye Joes = very good
2. Masseys in Okmulgee = absolutely worst BBQ I've had in Oklahoma
3. Legends in Owasso = good
4. Rib Crib = good
5. Hickory House = excellent
6. Albert G's = very good
7. Jamils (ribs) in Tulsa = excellent
8. Runts (old Runts) = very good
9. Wild Horse Mt, Salisaw = very good
10. Slick's Muskogee (closed) = excellent
11. Elmers in Tulsa = so, so
12. Wilson's in Tulsa = so, so

Cotton Eyed Joes in Claremore - Very Good
Masseys in Okmulgee - Very Good
JL's in Pryor - Pretty Good
Legends in Owasso - Better than average
Famous Dave's - Pretty Good for a chain

Don't like:
Trails End in Owasso
Stone Mill in BA
Rib Crib anywhere

Never tried:
Hickory House in Supulpa
Elemers in Tulsa
Billy Simms or Billy Rays

Best Cities for BBQ:
Kansas City
Memphis
