You wont find the best quality meat in a bbq buffet. Its alright its just not outstanding. Billy Sims or Rib Crib can do just as good if not better. I am talking about high quality meat that stands out and a great smoking process. Along with a delicious sauce that is different than anybody elses.

whatever happened to Rosie's Rib Joint, growing up in the 80's we would drive up from Mc Alester to eat there. I thought we were high society when I got the chance to go there with my mother and father.

would have to agree... until you try Hickory House's BBQ buffet... they must time it where they pull ribs fresh off the smoker.... Top Notch Ribs!! making me hungry thinking about it... the best BBQ don't need no sauce...

due to all the mentions of Elmers.... since it'd been several years..... so I dropped by today and purchased some ribs.... quality was OK... nothing to write home about. didn't care for the sauce

Checked it out today. Good but uninspiring. The BBQ sauce is good, adds flavor to the meat which is what I am having a problem with. Except for some outside flavor, inside it is pretty bland.
Question for the experts. Do they cook the meat first and then smoke it? Is there such a method?
Anybody heard of Massey's in Okmulge? Any good?

I went there today as well! Went about noon and I agree that it was pretty bland. The best thing they had was the tortilla soup.

If you ever are near Wranglers on 71st west of memorial I recommend the sliced brisket sandwich.

Right now I am looking for the best rib.
Next I'll try a small place on the west service road of 169 (old 169) I tried it years ago and it was impressive.
So far IMO it is a toss between Cotton Eye Joe's in Claremore and Buffalo's in Perry.
