Trail's End is at Garnett and 86th across from the fire station - not far from USSA. Besides BBQ, they also have good burgers and an awesome breakfast. I eat there for breakfast or lunch about once a week.

Another +1 for Hickory house... been my favorite for at least 15 years.

The meat is the first thing I rate.

So do I. I can't stand some BBQ ribs that were boiled first to soften them up and then BBQed. I went to some place west of the river some time back, the meat was boiled first and very disappointing.
Cotton Eye Joe's in Claremore is very good.

cotton eye joes has good ribs... although last time I pass thru and got ribs, quality was not up to snuff. oh well the last 3 times before that they were excellent.

I just checked Buffalo's BBQ today. It was good, next time I'll tell him not to drown it in BBQ sauce, I'd rather get the sauce in a container and put as much as I want.

makes me wonder... out of many, many trips to Hickory House.
have NEVER gotten a bad dish there, then factor in huge variety of side items and different BBQ. Hickory House got to have excellent controls to achieve that kind of consistency.

One of my best friends wife waited tables there for yrs. I havent had any in a couple of yrs. I havent heard that its changed hands recently either.

My apologies, it didn't come out right. I loved the meat and I plan to go back. Both the owner and the pretty young thing he had there were great. I prefer to put my own sauce, nothing more.
