Here’s what I use for my slow cooker roast and sauce if any are innersted.
2T Oil
1t Salt
1t Pepper
1/2C AP Flour
All the above are for browning the roast. Then I add
1 C red wine (I use a Cab) to deglaze the pan
5 Cloves Garlic
1t Thyme
1t Oregano
4 Bay Leaves
2T Worcestershire
1 1/2C Beef Broth
You know what to do from there.
