Here’s what I use for my slow cooker roast and sauce if any are innersted. 😂😂

2T Oil
1t Salt
1t Pepper
1/2C AP Flour
All the above are for browning the roast. Then I add
1 C red wine (I use a Cab) to deglaze the pan
5 Cloves Garlic
1t Thyme
1t Oregano
4 Bay Leaves
2T Worcestershire
1 1/2C Beef Broth
You know what to do from there. 😉

While I was proofing my French Bread I decided to give a new recipe a try. Wanted to get a jump on Fall goodies, don’t know about but I don’t like experimenting on guests. I present to you what’s called a “Magic Cookie Bar with Pumpkin”. Pretty darn tasty so I think I’ve found a winner. It has a graham cracker crust like a cheesecake, pumpkin, milk chocolate chips, peeeeecans and sweet coconut.

And as long as I’m at it here’s the French Bread. I love the smell of fresh bread baking in the oven.

Got up a few hours ago, got some work done, decided a big breakfast was in order before my double header day of going to the gym and then putting a couple of miles on the bike. Made my all time favorite.

Fried Pork tenderloins left over from making tonkatsu
Fried spam
Jasmine rice
Two fried eggs, over easy
Blistered shishito peppers with garlic and ginger.

Those peppers about killed me though. Shishitos aren’t hot, statistically speaking. Maybe 1 out of every 10 or 20 is spicy, but it’s usually mild. This last one was the hottest I have ever had. Hot like that home grown habanero I was dared to eat 10 years ago, with a burn like taking a sip of moonshine that just settles down in your stomach. Whooo. Disappears after a few minutes though.

I keep seeing all of the reels about cooking on a flat top, finally decided to get a small one to see what all of the buzz is about. My only regret now is that I bought a small one...

I've done several cooks, burgers, breakfast, etc. Kept seeing a video on a NY chopped cheese sammich. Gave it a try and we are hooked. Ground beef and onions on the flat top, cooked to perfection then slices of cheese laid on top. Scooped it all off and put it on a toasted roll with lettuce, tomato, ketchup and mayo. We also added a little heat with some Thai peppers, it was delicious.
