I look at it this way well over 70% of the earth's water is still undiscovered. Who the **** knows what is truly out there or what is yet to be discovered. With each year it seems like we find some rare breed or ancient fish in the waters of ASIA and AFRICA. Are mermaids real maybe, maybe not who knows? If i remember correctly not to long ago we thought giant 60'-100' squids were a myth too until they started washing up on shores. I look at it this way until you can prove it's not real than IMHO it's plausible.

Scary thing is all the folks who thought that crap was real.

Don't be like that. People gve it more credence because it was on Discovery, that is why I recorded it in the first place. Had it been on TNT I would have been more skeptical, but Discovery is supposed to be about science. It was well done, the characters were believeable, and there is a lot of truth in what they said- Orca whales are directly related to a species of wolf, Humans are naturally drawn to water, etc. Then there is the whole dolphin and man working together. That stuff is real. I still believe that at one point there was something like a mermaid, still may be, the pictures of spears found in sharks and whales are real. I just didn't appreciate being duped like that from Discovery. If it had been presented in a different manner, it wouldn't have had the same visceral impact though. I did enjoy it, I was certainly entertained.

I agree but I'm too busy trying to find proof of ghosts, UFOs (talk about percentage of area undiscovered) and Bigfoot to get involved with mermaids.
