Dang! We stayed at the Oasis one night getting in after dark in the rain and leaving before daylight the next morning. Missed that completely as well as the limousine that picks you up for a free ride to the big Texan steak house.

You are RV'ing wrong if you are retired. Many on the forums that are full-timers or snowbirds have a tendency to stop early in the day to get the best RV sites that they can. The wife and I push it sometimes by driving a bit over 300 miles per day when moving from one place to another.

We had a family member medical issue that required us getting home at the shortest time, so that was the issue with getting in late and leaving early after a few zzzzz's.
We typically like to drive about 3-4 hours a day before finding a park to spend the night.
Heading to the NW next summer. We have a big meet of probably 40 RV owners/with spouses in Great Falls Montana. Some taking a motorcycle ride through the mountains, others hanging out at other "points of interest".
