Had to let my little buddy go today.

I had to let the vet put my little buddy "Spanky Dog" Down today, It sucks but it was the right thing to do. He was almost 15 yrs old and my ex-wife had been giving him aspirin because her daughter kicked him and messed up his back last year. The daily doses of aspirin were real hard on his kidneys which I didn't know. I am sure gonna miss the little guy. Making that decision is the hardest thing I have ever done and I will never do it again. Sorry for the wimpering just had to get it off my chest.

Sorry man, it's hard and I know how you feel. I was there this time three years ago and had to put down a 13 year old lab with hip problems. My suggestion is when you're ever ready for a new dog, consider a good shelter/rescue dog.

I'm really sorry for your loss - I know how it is, several times over After my last one, I swore I'd never do that again... and somehow, I ended up with five adopted / rescued dogs!
