Im impressed that the horse didnt kick someone, that had to have hurt like hell while they were milking the puss out.

I'm guessing they gave the horse a local anesthetic, or maybe an epidural. The animal did flinch a couple times during the draining of the abscess.

I've got performance cow horses, more than I need, but really still not enough, and I don't know wtf caused that, but I don't want any.

Raised on a farm and have dealt with similar crap.
No big deal, but part of the reason I no longer raise critters.

That was a serious infection. Somebody should be paying closer attention to their livestock that horse had to be miserable.

Yep growing up a veterinarian's son seen worse, done worse. I bet BB has some stories too. One of the worse for me was a lab retriever that was being neglected. It had long hair and as my dad shaved it off to reveal the skin maggots were falling off with the hair by the thousands. The maggots had eaten through the skin, literally millions of them looked like canyons dug into the flesh of the dog. I remember more than anything my father being super pissed that someone would treat a dog that way.

Don't get me started on farmers bringing in cows with dead calves not born yet!!
