Yep, but it costs $10 (I believe) to monitor via landline and it's twice as much for wireless monitoring. We pay $3/mo for our landline so we're only saving a whopping $7/mo. So we may just do that.

The first and last computer I bought was a 286. I get a few parts and slap them together. Laptops a different matter.
A fax modem is cheap as dirt and worth its weight in gold. Sooner or later somebody will come alone that can only send or receive faxes. The last one I faxed was an FFL to a shop out of State.

My Thinkpad X201 came with a 56K modem, as well as this Inspiron I just ordered a month ago.
