We had a turtle vent over the dryer vent at the old house. Their inspector wanted it replaced with a vent like yours. They’ve already replaced it because of leakage.

Not telling you what to do with your house but covering the vents is not the answer. You need venting year round.

Not sure, the guy that bought our house works across the street and I just happen to run into him. I’ll go by and take a look because I’m curious myself

We did it in our old house cause there was no insulation in the attic or walls and the windows leaked air. When the curtains move when the wind blows the last thing you want is a roof turban sucking air in every nook and cranny in the walls.
