Ohp officer(s) noted he smelled of alcohol . That's enough for me.

You want to bet that he was intoxicated or not? Just a little friendly wager? Or are you chicken..

Winner gets to pick a sig line quote for the loser..

I think people are misunderstanding what I am saying! I do not hold the GW accountable for what happened. I hold the policies and procedures that are in place. We need to rethink how we deal with situations like this.

Take a day off work and you and peanut mount a two-man protest.

I agree. The ODWC should do away with effective, decades-old tactics because of one highly improbable event. I won't sleep at night until we clear the public roadways for people to ride dirtbikes on illegally in total safety and immunity.

Sometimes I have to clean up beer and get some spilled on me. So if I get pulled over on the way home, I would be drunk according to some of you.(although I don't drink beer)

It won't change.....As an officer that has worked graveyard for years, I always drive around blacked out. Easy to spot people moving around blocks away....Sorry people, it's a necessary evil....and with my training and experience, I would bet a paycheck he was intoxicated.....Tran you should go ride with an officer on night shift.

Depends. Do you clean up beer and then ride your dirtbike, which has no headlight, all up in the grill of a pickup truck in opposing lanes?

Yes there are other factors involved other than just an odor. Speech, eyes, etc....etc....but we have a SOBER officer in the performance of his duties and a guy who smells of an alcoholic beverage and is dead.....hmmmm. this is not rocket science.

All I am saying are you need to learn from the past and evaluate what can be done better for the future. We always debrief ourselves to try to make each one of us better at what we do. We don’t just say that’s what the book from 1870 said to do. That’s STUPID!

If you don't try to find a better way to do things then you will never get anywhere in life!
