I would never notice it. I don't use the phone unless it is extremely important.

I guess I would be one of the last to know. Rarely does anyone call me, and I rarely call anyone. Once I did find out, I would start start growing a farm in my back yard and build a watch tower, I have always wanted one.

These. I just don't care about using a phone, so I generally don't. I have rollover minutes by the hundreds expiring every month, and I disabled text service. I thought I had it as cheap as I could get it, at about $40 a month, but Wallyworld has a $30 a month with 1k minutes and 1k texts.

Either way, I'd start off by kicking on the radio, and checking all available bands to see if any worked. Now if phone service, TV, AND radio are out, something has gone terribly wrong, and I'm loading up and starting the drive to my 80 in MO.

Heck, I might even wait for my wife to get home :selfangel

Well truthfully if that ever happens, I would put on my tactical gear, put my guns on, put the rest of my guns, ammo, MRE's, canned food, water, survival gear, into my 4x4 and head back in the woods and get ready for whatever is coming

Sounds like you just saw the movie Red Dawn. Although, you were probably just a sparkle in your daddy's eye when the movie came out. Good flick though.

I'd probably do the same as you except for hunker down in my own home. To much valuable chit there to just say goodbye to it.

My wife and I have a somewhat pitiful stockpile of SHTF supplies and I have been meaning to update/add to it lately. THen my chin hit the ground when my wife (who is white collar, High dollar executive) said we need to get our SHTF organized and in order. To include our supplies at home as well as our Bugout Bag we keep in here SUV. Needless to say, I will be doing a lot of shopping this weekend at the grociery store, BPS and other hunting and outdoor stores to stalk up on the "goods".

As I have said in the past. I have a list of who I am going to eat, and the lucky ones that I will not. I will declare hunting season open. For those on the list. good luck, and God speed. Also, eat a lot of corn please.
