If your left foot is outside the vehicle, how in the hell do you push the brake pedal??

I guess you do not drive at all, The right operates the gas and the brake, not at the same time. Left foot is for the clutch if you know how to drive.

I've always braked with my left foot except when there's a clutch pedal.

That’s what causes people to “ride the brake pedal”. You see them going down the road with the brake lights constantly coming on even though they aren’t slowing down. But if it works for you keep on truckin’!!
