I am sad to see the NRA and lots of gun owners on many forums, willing to sell law abiding gun owners out. I don't have a bump fire stock. In fact i have an Ar15 i have never fired. It reminds me of all the people who were so afraid the "fudds" who only care about hunting rifles, now some of these same people are saying fine get rid of bump fire stocks. Give in on the bump fire stocks and next it is high capacity magazines, and semi auto rifles on the chopping block. I don't think for one Second that the anti gunners would willingly stop at just bump fire stocks.

Why the hell is it always a left leaning crazy person who goes on these sprees shooting people up...then their leaders go and try to pass anti-gun laws, that will mostly affect the law abiding right? I know these are generalizations but you cant argue that its pretty spot on with all these shootings and party affiliation.
To be fair in this discussion, we don't know his political affiliation yet.

"Hope everyone remembers this when it's banquet season "
I don't know that any of the money raised at the Friends Banquets goes to Fairfax. The money is used to fund range improvements, things like buying .22 rifles for local 4H Clubs , Eddie Eagle gun safety training, and similar projects. So if you think boycotting the banquets in some way gets back at the NRA for not sharing you opinion, you're wrong. We need these programs to get the youth involved in the shooting sports. One day these young people will vote.
Lots of truth here. The Ponca City Rifle and Pistol club has sponsored a youth shooting club for over 50 years with ammo, guns, and gear supplied by those that attend the NRA Friends of the NRA banquets.
We get grants that buy the ammo and recently bought a rifle for kids that are left handed directly from a NRA grant.
Our kids group has just started their fall session. If anybody wants to visit the group when they are shooting, please contact me and I'll be more than happy to give a personal tour of the facility and let you watch the kids shoot.
Beware, I might invite you to shoot against them.....You might be humbled. We have some good instructors.
I took the class in the 60's.

From what I've seen we do...and even if thats misinformation at this point I'd make a sporting bet as to what it is. Regardless, it doesnt change the past dozen or more.

Based on recent history of the media, if he were a right wing gun nut, I think we'd know all about it. There's a theory that he might not have been targeting this crowd in particular. The other performances he likely cased would've been filled with a great amount of liberals.

Now I want to put a scary thought in your heads. There's information floating around out there that he might've considered Lollapalooza.

http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...vegas-gunman-lollapalooza-20171005-story.html

The mystery over mass shooter Stephen Paddock deepened Thursday with news he rented rooms at Chicago's Blackstone Hotel overlooking the Lollapalooza music festival in Grant Park in August, two months before he opened fire at a country music concert in Las Vegas.

Paddock reserved two rooms on the park side of the hotel with a clear view of the outdoor festival, but he never showed up, according to a law enforcement source, who asked for anonymity because he wasn’t authorized to publicly disclose the details.

The reservations covered the four-day event, which drew hundreds of thousands of music fans, including former President Barack Obama's daughters Malia and Sasha, as well as Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Now imagine if he'd have hit Lollapalooza and one or both of Obama's daughters had become casualties? This would be over. Done. It wouldn't matter if he was liberal or conservative. Nothing would matter except he used EBR's and they'd be legislated out of existence.
