Maybe you could get one of them free cells phones.
since state employees do about four hours work in an eight hour day you shouldn't gripe to muchI work for the State and we haven't had a raise in 6 years. No cost of living, no inflation adjustment, nothing. It getting old..
I have this conversation almost daily at work. Yes, prices are up and pay is down. Prices will continue to rise as commodities do. If you aren't making enough money, it's one of two things.
1) The companies fault for taking advantage of this economy, knowing someone will do the job for what they want to pay.
2) A worker isn't worth a pay raise for quality of work.
Storm the cellars and look into a job change. Go to your boss with an offer and a deadline (not a threat). Either way, make more money.
Where's all the "pull yourself up by the bootstraps folks" chiming in? I wanted more money, so I got a second job instead of going online and complaining about not having money. There's plenty of places looking for part time help, especially this time of year.
People now days only want to work 8-5, Monday thru Friday. Anything outside of that and you're intruding into their "ME" time. It's easier to whine then do something about it. What we need are more government handouts!!!
